Yoga club develops a way of life

Yoga is a very ancient tradition dating back more than 2000 years. Over time, it represented one of the philosophical currents of India, but which has become a social phenomenon in our time. There are several types of yoga: ashtanga, iyengar, nidra and many others. In Générac, the members of the club decided to practice hatha yoga, the most adapted to the Western way of life, which is intended for everyone (from teenagers to seniors, pregnant women, etc.).

The yoga club is a member of the Groupement pour la practice du yoga association, which has two teachers, Éric and Cécile. For Lysiana, a member of the club, “yoga is not just gymnastics, it can become a way of life. The teachers adapt to each person”. For Elizabeth, “and Cécile and Éric, they prepare us for holding with a selected warm-up”.

Seasons can play a role in these location choices. You have to listen to your body, listen to yourself. Yoga helps with breathing, concentration and flexibility. It’s living in the present moment, letting yourself go. Especially breathing, relaxation, can help in everyday life.

All members of the club are convinced of the benefits of yoga and invite everyone to participate. They are sure of the result. Yoga is practiced in the ballroom (next to the hall) on Thursdays from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. or from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., as well as on Fridays from 7 to 8 p.m. p.m
